- If you have a friend, or a neighbor, who doesn't treat their pet responsibly, talk them into treating their pets better, and if they don't listen notify someone that could do someone about it.
- If an elderly person owns a pet, and can't really treat it right, or isn't capable of letting it outside, offer to help him or her, offer to pet sit, or walk their dog!
- If there's a stray animal that lives on your block, leave out food and water for him/her.
